Lincoln had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa yesterday and he was so excited!! They brought KFC and he just thought it was the best! When they left he was quite sad...he kept looking and pointing up the stairs for them. Also, when they left he said "Bye-Bye" and gave Grandma kisses...that is a rarity to get kisses... let alone to actually hear him say "bye-bye" he usually just does his signature wave.
Another new thing to post since my last is that Lincoln is teething again. I check his gums each morning when we brush teeth and I feel them for signs of new teethers and yesterday morning I felt nothing. Seriously! I felt nothing! Fast forward to last night before bedtime. Lincoln kept crying and fussing while he was in his crib. It started to get worse so I went in and gave him some water and held him for a minute and then lay him back down. He seemed fine so I left him and then he'd fuss again. I was puzzled. He usually just lays there and falls asleep...hmmm. So, I waited a little bit and then went back in and we cuddled in the nursery chair for a bit. I put my finger in his mouth and felt a molar on his left top-side! I don't know about you but that kinda shocked me! How does a molar just come in that fast?! I mean, I don't know anything about teething but I thought it was a slightly gradual thing. On his right top-side his gums are swollen and there seems to be "activity" up there but there is not an actual tooth yet. Poor little man. I gave him some Motrin and within no time he was asleep. It breaks my heart to see him sad and then to find out that he was actually in pain is even worse! Oops...I guess I will have to start checking his gums through out the day and not just in the mornings, eh?!Below are some pictures from a while ago. They were taken "pre-haircut", you may notice...
