sleeping like a baby...

Well, anyone who knows Lincoln knows that he likes his sleep. He actually gets excited when we snuggle into the nursery chair and prepare for naptime or nighttime. We lay him into his crib while he is awake and he likes to talk among himself for a little while before falling asleep. It is honestly quite funny! Philip and I turn on the baby monitor and listen to him as he holds tight to the rail of the crib and jumps like crazy laughing as he is doing it, kicks his feet while making the motor boat noises with his mouth, or our favorite is when he practices his words. He knows a few words and we think that he wants to master them before he shows them off to his family and friends. It is so cute, too, because he whispers them! Seriously, he very quietly whispers them to himself and then repeats them over and over again. It's like he doesn't want anyone to hear him! His favorite one as of now is bubble, "Bub...ble, bubble.....Bub...ble, bubble." After awhile when we don't hear him anymore, I go in and check on him. I usually take my camera because he ends up falling asleep in the funniest positions!

Here is our sleeping angel baby.

Here he is being quite clever using his blanket as a pillow.

This is one of my favorites. He had rested his head on the bumper and cashed out!

Here is another view...his little legs are tucked under the bumper.

Nothing woke him up, that's for sure!

Here he is after I laid him back and covered him up.
He looks so short in this picture. It must be the way he is laying.

This was a little stage he went through. Every night before Philip and I would go
to bed I would go into the nursery and pull him back into the middle of the crib.

...and every morning we'd wake up and this is where he'd be again!
