Happy 1st Birthday!

"I want to pay tribute to Lincoln's birthmother...This time one year ago she was giving birth to a beautiful baby boy. She was giving birth knowing that this baby would be someone elses. Someone elses baby to hold, to raise, to love. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her. I wonder how her pregnancy went. How long was her delivery? Did she have someone with her to help her through it all? Oh, I hope she did. It must have been so hard for her. She must have been heartbroken knowing that soon after, she would be separated from her baby. All these things run through my mind and I guess I will never know. All I can do is pray that God will deliver our thanks to this remarkable lady. She has changed our lives immensly and we are so, very greatful for that. Thank you so much for what you have choosen. We honor your courage to choose life for this little one. I want you to know he is a true blessing. You have given us the most amazing gift ever and I will never be able to thank you enough for that. He has grown so much this past year. We feel blessed to have the chance to raise this little man and give him the chance at life. I hope you are at peace with your decision. Please know that he is loved so much and spoiled beyond belief. He has a huge family that is absolutly crazy about him. We treasure him dearly and only want what is best for him, just as you did on this day one year ago...."

I can't believe that he is one year old already! What a milestone... Last night he woke up just a few minutes before midnight. I think he awoke so that I could hold him for one last time while he was still 11 months old. He was so sweet. He reached out for me and gave me a great big bear hug and then fell back asleep. I live for little moments like that. This morning he woke up rearing to go! We gave him his new hot rod car. He loves it! It is quite speedy. We had it going the full 2 mph and Lincoln was lovin' it! Shelby, on the other hand is a little leary of it. Lincoln was cracking up when he thought we were going to run into her. Watch out Shelby!
After naptme we headed to work and were welcomed with birthday wishes from the "littles". (Andrew and Ella) It was too cute...I am sure that Ella was told that he turned one year old but she forgot. She kept saying, with great excitement, "Lincoln! You're so big! You're 21 years old! Yeah!" We kept having to remind her that he was ONE not twenty-one. What a goofball. We played hard all day...it was a good day. Before we even got onto the expressway Lincoln had zonked out! He was exhausted!

Well, yesturday Linc and I got some stuff done for the party. We ordered the cake, bought party favors, and ordered balloons. It was fun! I've never planned a kid's party before. There is still so much to do. It's hard work.

This is how I wake up...minus the camera and the overexcited parents.

What's that??!! It's my birthday?!

Well, come on! Get me outta here...I've got gifts to open!

Um, seriously, what's up with this hat...and where are my presents?!

Okay one photo is enough! Give me that camera!

Alright, I'll go along with all of this birthday fun. Let's eat, I'm starved!

Wow, I look pretty snazzy in this bib. Don'tcha think?

Breakfast is done! Bring on the presents!

I am speechless...this is awesome! I have my own car?

Man, my friends are gonna be so jealous.

Yup, I'm eating goldfish again. These are so yummy!

This is my friend Jackson. He is pretty strong if he can pick me up!
Mama's always going on that I "weigh a ton".

Strike a pose!

I was tuckered out!

You have a blog! I am so glad you left me a comment so I could find you!!! Now I have another sweet baby to keep up on:-) One already...sigh...it is so sad, isn't it? I am sad about it. I am thrilled we got as much time with Mikayla as we did but it is heartbreaking that she is growin up so fast and not so much a baby anymore. It looks like yyour sweet son is doing WONDERFUL and I am so happy for you guys.

I am so sorry to hear about your cyst. I hope that the procedure goes smoothly for you and that you can recover quickly. I will keep you in my prayers.
Many Hugs
Mindy
