Well, this weekend, I look back and have to smile at all of the craziness of it all. Lincoln slept very well again in his big boy bed. I think he really enjoys sleeping like mama and papa in a bed! On Friday we ate breakfast and then headed out the door to take Shelby to the groomers. We've done this several times before, but this time was different. When I dropped Shelby off, Lincoln became incoherent with a massive onset of tears. He was crying SO hard that he almost threw up. Apparently, he thought that we were "getting rid of Shelby". I tried to calm him down for about 40 minutes...he was inconsolable. I had to try my hardest to not break down and cry with him... it just breaks my heart when he is sad. He was so heartbroken and still crying when we got back home. I finally was able to stop the tears after popping in the Toy Story movie. It took awhile, but eventually Lincoln's voice came back from all of the crying...poor guy. When Lincoln woke up from his nap we went back to the groomers to pick up Shelby. Let's just say that it was a VERY HAPPY reunion!! On another note, though, I was the receiver of bad news when we picked up our beloved doggy...the groomer found a flea on Shelby! Eckkkk!!! I headed straight home to clean the house from top to bottom. I cleaned all of the sheets and laundry, vacuumed and dusted like a mad women, and then I dosed Shelby with another dose of Frontline....darn those nasty buggers! I am not sure if she just carried the flea in while she was outside on the way into the groomers or if she had it when she was at home....either way, I heard that for every flea on your dog there is 10 in your home!!! TEN!! Yikes. So, I shall be on the lookout and in the meantime I will continue to keep a VERY clean and spotless home...I think that the "nesting" stage may come early.
Also, this weekend Lincoln and I went to visit "Aunt" Cole and "Uncle" Stephen. We had such a fun time dancing and hanging out...Josie (Lincoln's friend) came over also and Lincoln was her shadow. He followed her everywhere and I think I see the beginnings of a little crush there! Linc has learned some awesome dance moves and was boogieing down to some jams. He would use the hearth of the fireplace as his stage and shake it like a salt shaker! It was quite funny. At one point one of his favorite songs came on and he was raising the roof and saying,"In the air...air...air, In the air!" He was making everyone laugh and then he busted out with a "yo,yo,yo!" and I almost lost it...my cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling at him. He is such a character...it's too cute!
Today, after Lincoln finally woke up, we went to the Grandparents' house to hang out. Linc slept in. I am sure he was exhausted from his long night of dancing! We had a lot of fun with Maddie and Kenzie, too. Lincoln just loves playing with his cousins. They play so well together now that Lincoln is a little bigger...it's like he is one of the gang now and not just the "little one". He is also talking a lot more now and I am sure it has helped him feel like a "big kid"...just like his cousins.
Well, this week looks promising for loads of picture moments. It will be great "fall-ish" weather and Lincoln has a new scooter being delivered soon! Yea! So, we'll be outside and having fun! Also, I have Wednesday thru Wednesday off! Oh, yeah! I think we may also take Lincoln to a park this week. I am feeling SO much better and I have gotten back all of my energy finally! I think I will enjoy this trimester MUCH better than the first. Besides getting fat and short of breath and feeling Everett kick even more and even harder than before, I think these next few months will seem like any other....I think that I am kidding myself! Either way, I am happy that I am not sick and exhausted like before. I will have to post some pictures of myself...my belly has popped even more and you can totally tell that I am indeed pregnant - not just chunky! Well, tomorrow I hit my 20 week mark! I am thrilled to be able to say that. I learned that Everett is the size of a cantaloupe...Yummy, that's one of Lincoln's favorite fruits. He is approximately 6.5 inches and 10.6 oz.
Enjoy the following pictures of our Linc-man! I hope everyone is enjoying the ending of summer and the arrival of autumn....I know I am! I love this time of year!

The family that I watch just got a new puppy dog. The kids are beyond excited! As is Linc, he really likes the dog cage.

Here is Walter, the new puppy. Such a handsome Bullmastiff.

Snack time!
