Life in the Dean home is truly wonderful. We are doing well and couldn't ask for anymore! Lincoln is growing like a weed, Philip is working his tail off, and I am a cleaning machine lately...Our home is a constant mess because I have so many projects going on (cleaning, painting, organizing) I feel like I am in a "nesting" stage. I guess I am just trying to do some spring cleaning in October!
Lincoln and I have been having a ball at work these past few weeks. One night we even stayed the night there when the family went away for business. I used to stay weekends and sometimes weeks when they'd vacation or go away on business but I haven't done it since Linc's been home. It went smoothly. Well, other than the"littles" waking up at 5 am it went well. I was exhausted! When we took Drew to school I came back home and laid Ella and Linc down for their naps and then I crashed for a few hours also...I still can't get over them waking up at 5 am!!! Who does that! There aren't even any cool cartoons on that early yet! Oh, well... we had fun though. Lincoln really enjoyed it. He loves hanging out with all of the kids. They run around the house chasing each other and Lincoln hangs onto their pants and they drag him with them...it is hilarious! Linc gets laughing so hard. It is the best.
Papa missed us when were gone and he and Lincoln had a lot of playing to catch up on. They got their play on while I finished painting our bedroom. ( I started painting the room during Linc's nap and finished it when Philip came home...I was a girl on a mission. ) It looks great! We went with a pumpkin color and a chocolate brown accent color. I am now in love with our room and can't seem to leave the room! I used to always keep the door closed and now I have a door stopper there so I can just walk by and admire it...I know... I am a cornball! Philip says that I did such a good job that I get to paint the basement! I am so excited because I have been telling him for EVER that the basement (we spend ALL of our time there) needs some color. I am thinking of a pretty gold-deep yellow-buttered creamyish color. I have a vision in my head...
Well, another new thing is that our friends Kristine and Eric got married!!!! Yeah!!! We had a great time at their wedding and of course I cried and thought of our wedding day and turned into the sappy Jame that we all know and love...the reception was beautiful too and we had so much fun! Lincoln's Aunt Cole and Uncle Stephen were in the wedding and they looked great and Cole did a really good job on her speech. She was the matron-of-honor. (Stephen is Kristine's brother)
Um...Another set of friends Angela and Jarrod just bought a new home and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I am in awe everytime I go there. Me and Philip are a little envious of how much space they have...our home is so small it can fit into their pole barn and I am not kidding! But that is okay...we love our home and don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, but their house is spectacular.
Our nieces are continuing to do a GREAT job at soccer and are having lots of fun. They are just the cutest girls EVER! Philip and I are so proud of them and are in awe at how much they have been growing...seriously...I wear the same size shoe as my 10 year old niece!!! How crazy is that! and Kenzie is not little anymore! She has gone through some sort of growth spurt and she has got some legs on her! Then there is Maddie and she has slimmed out and I swear someone could mistaken her for a model...she is so darn adorable! I swear...sometimes Philip and I are glad that we have chosen the adoption road...I think April's girls have all of the cute genes in the family and I am not sure that there are not enough to go around...
Well, on the weight loss track I am still doing good and I have hit a lull...I haven't lost anything in a while now, but I have lost a total of 30 lbs total since this summer and I am now back to my engagement weight! yeah! I feel like I have a brand new wardrobe because I have been digging out all of my clothes from way back when... I have this goal for next summer...I wanna be in a bikini body by my 4th anniversary...a bikini body that looks descent, and when I say bikini I mean tankini! Come on! I am a modest girl! Maybe a shortened tankini...who knows?!
Well...enough of my babbling and jibberish...I know that most of you only look at this blog for updated pictures of me....um, I mean Lincoln.... so here are some and I hope to have more soon. We are getting our portraits done on the 24th and I will take some before then ofcourse but after the 24th I am taking Linc to get a new haircut. A bit shorter on the sides, a bit shorter on top but cut long enough so that I can give him faux-hawks!!! He looks darling in faux-hawks and I just love them...Philip likes it too but we are having it done so that he can wear his hair down also. There comes a time for seriousness too....I just don't know when that time will come and what it all entails...
