let me catch you up to par...

Today is day one of my blog. I will catch you up a little and then from here on out this will become my daily journal. The day to day adventures with the handsome Lincoln!
Well, life in the Dean household couldn't be any better. We are great! Life is good! The only problems we have are that Philip is working like a hound, I am falling way behind on the housework, and Lincoln is growing too fast! Other than that - all is well. It could be worse, eh? Becoming parents has changed our lives...now our whole world revolves around our little man. He is doing wonderfully. He is such a happy and content baby....always smiling.... We can't get over how smart he is, also! He is such a blabber! He now says 6 words. Bubble, Bath, Book, Papa, Mama, and Hello. He waves, blows kisses, and dances. We weaned him off of formula and the bottle last month and he went right along with it. He took to the sippy cup with great ease! Oh, and I can't forget, he absolutely LOVES his blanket. We call it a pompee. He won't sleep without one. Thankfully, he is not attached to just one in particular.
Lincoln is still on the dream schedule, too! Everyone is always commenting when they here about what a good sleeper he is. He takes two 2 hour naps daily and he sleeps 12 hours through the night. Honestly, if he doesn't get his sleep - he is a little moody. If anyone knows Linc, they know that his moodiness is barely, if at all, moody! He is not a screamer and rarely ever fusses. He is never cranky. He sounds like the perfect little angel doesn't he? Well, that's because he is... We are just waiting for his "terrible" stage. I am sure that this "perfect angel" stage won't last forever. We can only hope, though!

Motherhood is amazing, work is wonderful, and our marriage is full of love.
We are preparing for our vacation. We are leaving to stay with friends, Rick and Maria, in Denver on June 23rd for a whole week! I am so excited! I havn't seen Maria since our last visit back in October. It seems like forever ago. Rick has been traveling for work and he has been here recently. He was able to meet Lincoln and hang out, but Maria and their son, Thomas haven't yet. It's going to be a nice vacation...especially for Philip. He really needs time away from work.
When we get back from Denver, my "nightmare" begins... I am really dreading July. Recently I had an ultrasound done on my ovaries. It showed a 7cm mass. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and cysts are normal for me, however, this cyst is much larger than the others and there is also a growth inside of it that concerns my doctor. So... on July 11th I am having a laparoscopy with a possible lapotomy. I am really bummed that the recovery will take so long. (approx. 6weeks) I absolutly HATE relying on others to care for me, let alone to care for Lincoln. I won't be able to drive, lift, or walk for nearly 2 weeks! Ugg! Wish me luck! I will need it.
