We awoke to Mr. Happy boy. He was just a'bouncin' in his crib. I love to wake up to such an excited baby. We hung out with Papa until 10ish and then he left for work. (He went in later than usual) After Lincoln's nap we ran some errands and then came home to play. He went right for the elmo table that our friends, Jarrod and Angela, bought for him. He has been quite attached to it since his party. After about 20 minutes of playing with the elmo table...seriously, he stood there for 20 minutes playing with it...we went for a walk in his hot rod with Shelby. Man-oh-Man was it HOT out today! Lincoln helped me water the flowers and then we came in for a snack.
When Papa came home we exchanged anniversary cards. We didn't buy each other anything this year because we decided that our Denver vacation would be our gifts. (We are looking forward to going and getting away!) I did, however, buy Philip a small gift for his office...I saw this picture frame and HAD to get it for him...it sings Louis Armstrong's, "What a Wonderful World". I love that song! We then went to Olive Garden. I think that it is Lincoln's favorite restaurant...he loved the bread, salad, and also the waiters sang to the table next to us and he LOVED that! We wanted to keep with the tradition of Olive Garden. Last year we ate there and celebrated not only our anniversary but also our referral! It was only suiting that we eat there again.
Lincoln was pretty tired. (he actually fell asleep on the way to the restaurant) When we got home we took some pictures and played for a bit. Then Philip and I played, "Scissor, Paper, Rock" to see who was going to get to put Lincoln to sleep. I WON!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like a wonderful time and I ADORE all the pictures! He is just the CUTEST thing....like you didn't already know that! Referral day...sigh...we are coming up on that as well. This time last year I had the phone attached to my hip waiting on that phone call...then out of the blue it came and my life changed. You know ALL about it. A year..wow...where on EARTH is the time going?!
