Fun in the Sun!

Today was, as usual, fun! I love that everyday I can honestly say that it was a great, fun day. Being a nanny has always been so rewarding. I have always loved going to work and being around the children. However, being a mother is even better! When Philip and I first began our adoption I sometimes worried that I might not feel as close to our "soon to be baby" as I felt to the 4 children I watch. Boy was I ever wrong!! I can't begin to describe the love I feel for our son...not that my feelings for the kids has faded any...you know what I mean, right??
Anyways, now that I got that out, let's get back to our day! Lincoln and I went to work today. We played with all of the kids because they are all out of school for the summer! Yah! Linc had so much fun playing...he actually played in the kiddie pool all by himself! I didn't have to sit right beside him this time. He was hilarious! As Ella and Drew would jump into the pool and the water would splash him, he would crack up! It was so funny. He also kept splashing himself and laughing. I think this was his favorite part of the day. When I took him out he was not at all happy. We came in to play and then the big'ens, Jackson and William, left for their first swim meet of the season. (they lost but they swam great...there's just not enough people on their team)It was an early night for the littles. They were exhausted! After watching "Hannah Montana" it was off to beddie-bye. Lincoln was already asleep.(he fell alseep at his normal bedtime, 6pm) I sang my usual songs..."I've been working on the Railroad" and "Jingle Bells". (Yes, everynight that I am there, they request these 2 songs...I know - crazy song choices...I agree) So, at 7pm it was a quite house with only the sound of the refridgerator humming...peace and quite!

Also, on a really bright note, a lady called my mom today and said that the cell phone that I lost on Saturday had been turned in! I lost it on the day of Lincoln's party and havn't been able to find it. I even retraced all of my steps. Well, it was found down the street from where the party was. I left the phone on the back of Philip's car and it fell off. The mail lady found it and gave it to someone at the cellular store in the mall. What a kind lady! I am so happy!!! I am picking it up tomorrow morning. I didn't have insurance on it so I was pretty much out of luck...it was my favorite phone ever!! Anyone who knows me knows that I have been thru my fair share of phones...
