Colorado...we miss you!!

Philip and I really enjoyed our last visit to Colorado. We detoured there on our way home from visiting Lincoln, in Guatemala, last October. We knew that it would be so hard to give him back to his foster family. We wanted to have something to keep us busy and look forward to afterwards. Going home, without Lincoln, would have been quite depressing for us. A vacation was what we really needed!
We had a blast in Colorado. We stayed with Rick and Maria. (Philip's friends from high school) They are good people - a great couple. They have a son, Tommy, who is 12 years old. He is such a character! We actually liked Colorado so much that ever since that trip we have talked of moving there. Philip's parents are really not happy about that! It's not that we'd move there anytime soon...maybe more like in 5ish years...I don't know??!!
We have planned another visit trip to the mile high city of Morrison, just outside of Denver. We leave tomorrow and will be there for a week! I am so excited! I have missed Maria and can't wait 'till she can meet Lincoln. It will be nice to relax, go hiking, picnic at the mountains...I can't wait! Actually, Rick came over when he was in town last week and mentioned that we'd be probably have a picnic. It was funny hearing him go through the agenda for the week that we're there. He is such a manly man with his full beard and muscles....to hear him talk about picnics and long mountain drives was kinda funny.
Well, I'm gonna post some pics from our last trip to Denver. Sorry, but, it was so hard to pick through the photos. There are a lot of them...
I will post pictures when we get home from our vacation...I'll try to post while I am there but I am not promising anything!

Now entering Morrison, Colorado.

Tommy is really asleep and I am being a goofball

Who wouldn't love this as their backyard?!

Me and Maria hanging out in Estes Park.

This is where Stephen King's movie, "The Shining" was filmed.
Located in Estes Park.

Can you believe how close the elk were?

These two were horseing around or should I say elking around...

All of the people were just walking amongst the elk.

The North Duo

The Dean Duo

Okay...tell me this isn't the creepiest spider ever!! It is HUGE!

The guys went on a hike and came across a treasure.
This is bear poop...I think that Philip's shoe is a little too close.

Here is my dear hubby striking a "senior picture" pose.

They're like, "Alright, dude, put the camera away!"

Here is Rick being forced to sit pretty and smile!
He's a good sport.

Phil looks like a tough guy in this pic...

This picture makes me crack up!!! Notice Philip falling in the background!
Tommy looks cute, too!

There is a mountain behind the North's house and this cross is lite up on the side of it.

We were driving down the road and spotted a deer.

Here is a closer look. "Doe" 'cha think she's pretty?

Here we are on top of the world...I mean mountain

Here lies Buffalo Bill

We are happily on our way to the brewery.

This is at the enterance to Coors Brewery. It's BIG!

Towards the end of the tour we arrived in the beer room and were given free beer.
Our tour guide offered me a job! She said that I was funny and quite outspoken!

Who knew Coors made all of these??!! Not I!

Me and Maria at Red Rocks. We are about to start our long trek up the mountain.

Philip and I tucked into the side of the mountain.

Here is a close up.

This is Red Rocks Stadium. It is all constructed on the side of the mountain.
It is truly amazing!

Over to the far right is Maria and I sitting on the steps.
We are worn out! Those stairs are steep!
